When The Fates Came EP

When The Fates Came A famous shade of grey coming around again A quiet rage that is making its sound again When the fates came and destroyed me When the choice was made to set your soul free I knew right then no one could save me So I laid in the water that would take me down What lies beneath is almost darker than grieving So day by day I get closer to leaving Maybe I have learned the hard way Maybe I can’t see an always All I trusted, all I wanted Was taken away

All I Am 03:55
All I Am This is a lost place This is the end This is a lost space I won’t go back I never wanted To see this go In a night sky All I need to know Still I go on And I remain I go on But ever changed This seems to be all I am Now All I am now Now All I am All I am All I can be All I can All I can be Be now It is a place It is a life A life?

Broken Circle Said a man to his son, to his daughters “I may not have been what you needed. But underneath this armor I’m your father And I want to make this right.” Traveled all these miles for another chance Hopeful for some closure where it’s needed He says “Let me say my peace That is all I ask. Then do what you will with it.” How do we mend a circle that is broken? How can we undo the past? How do we change the words that have been spoken? How can we manage that? How do I find a way to make you hear me? How do I make you believe? That all I want now is to bring this family back? Said the father to his children, “I’m sorry. Maybe those two words can build a bridge. And maybe if you’ll let me I can show you That I care too much to let go of this.”

A Long Time 04:35
A Long Time All I want to know is that you’re all right I know it’s been a long time Since I’ve been around But that changes now You don’t have to hide your pain from me I want to understand what you see You don’t have to hide your pain from me anymore I don’t know where the time has gone How I stayed out of your life so long Now we’re strangers bound by blood But I’m here for you now

Claws On Floors In the dead of night I came to you I couldn’t imagine where you’d gone to So I stayed awake for a while To see if you’d run You could not be worse cats right now than you are You’re playing with the blinds and running around our house When I’m trying to work And the worst part about going as it comes Is you cannot start again When they fill it up with sound And the claws on wood And claws on blinds They made me pretend that I was in another place Where they were not But it is our home, it happens sometimes That your lives bleed into my My song And I will never be there again I will never be the one that’s in your head Making no sense now Not like I ever was You said that I wouldn’t win That you would always know the end I hope it all came out all right You couldn’t have waited five more minutes To do that I’m sure it was emergency time And now this is a waste of all my time And a waste of the words inside my mind
